Quiero que tu comas. = I want you to eat. Espero que ella hable a su papa.=I hope that she speaks to her father. Ojala que el vuelva.=God willing/Wishing that he returns.

I hope this helps you.

  • Nice examples expressing command, emotion, and expectation. The subjunctive fits perfectly there :) - GuitarWarrio May 10, 2011 flag

A veces, parece que por más que yo trate, por más que yo lidie, nunca podré hablar español con tanta soltura como lo que querría hablar. Pero la jornada es divertida y me anima, recordándome que un día, algún día, tendré exito.

Sometimes it seems that no matter how much I try, no matter how much I struggle, I will never be able to speak spanish as fluently as I would like to. But the journey is fun and it cheers me up, reminding me that one day, some day, I will succeed.
