I think it's called: Signo de apertura de interrogación ![]()
Jen is correct, when I am working on a question in spanish my wife tells me to " open the question" by placing the upside down question mark,and then after writing it she tells me to "close it" with the english normal question mark, A simplistic explanation but it works for me. This is the same with the exclamation. (¡ !)
