ASK A QUESTION "since (doing verb)"

Hello, What is the best way to say "since (verb)"... for example, "since coming to Mexico..." or "ever since I came to Mexico"...

"desde venir a Mexico...", does it sound correct? Thanks!!

The idea is good, actually, but it doesn't work because gerunds are much more general than Spanish infinitives. The phrase "desde venir..." makes you wonder (in Spanish) who is coming, so it doesn't work.

Use "desde que llegué (a México)".
