Jeez, that would indeed be some feat if you were actually able to do that, say upon your own death... just makes me wonder if that's possibly part of attempting to decipher this one, that you are so spectacular and basically "full of yourself" that even 6 feet under you're able to decorate your own grave! Not talking about death lightly, and certainly not yours... but perhaps that is where that saying is going?

Interestingly, I found this Spanish word with a somewhat similar meaning when searching "echar":

echón, -ona = (Caribe, Méx) braggart... por ejemplo: ¡qué echón! = isn't he full of himself!
