ASK A QUESTION Animals that begin with letter W in spanish
4 Answers
Very few words starting with W in Spanish & the ones that they have are from foreign origin. I find 12 in my dictionary & no animals, so you did better than I. All words that you have are native origin.
Wobats (sometimes spelled Vombats), Walabí and Canguro Antilope (sometimes Kanguro Antilope)... Although the names exist, its just like Motley said, these are foreign words to Spanish.
I got walrus and it is spelled the same in both languages.
The dictionary here at the site does not give "wombat" as the translation for "wombat" (in English), but rather:
wombat
wombat [vom-bat] sustantivo1. Fascolomis, mamífero nocturno de los marsupiales de Australia.
