I work in schools and I am writing to a parent explaining the class her son is having trouble in. When I translate in directly on the website, it just says "artes del lenguaje", which I don't believe is correct.

It's called simply "lengua" in Spain.

Tengo problemas en la asignatura de lengua.

I have problems in the subject of language arts.

"Artes lingusiticas" is the best I can manage. I know there are a few here that can "hit this nail" better than I.

  • Oh great, it didn't occur to me, I'm still wondering about "gramática". - Dakie Feb 10, 2011 flag
