El matrimonio es una relación entre dos personas, en la que una siempre tiene razón, y la otra es el marido.

Marriage is a relationiship between two people in which one person is always right, the other one is the husbandraspberry

Siempre que salimos mi mujer y yo, caminamos tomados de la mano...Si la suelto, se pone a comprar...

Whenever I go out with my wife, we hold hands...if I let her go, she will enter a shop !!

"And What of Marriage?"

"You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

"Love one another, but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each of you be alone, even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

"Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of life can contain your hearts. And stand together, yet not too near together: for the pillars of the temple stand apart, and the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow." ~~ Kahlil Gibran

To me this means that in a marriage the couple shares almost everything, just as soul mates do, but each remains a separate human....Growing together, but not in each other's shadow.

El matrimonio es una institución, pero ¿quién quiere -- vivir en una institución?

Marriage is an instituion, but who wants to live in an institution?

(Aparentemente yo. Llevo 37 años con mí mejor amiga!)

(Apparently me. I have been married for 37 years to my best friend.)

A marriage is like the sea around the shore--it is up to the two partners whether it is a tropical paradise or deadly tsunami.

El matrimonio es como el mar alrededor de la orilla--la pareja decide si es un paraíso tropical o un tsunami mortal.

Marriage is a contract.

Well... hopefully, more than a contract.

Para mí, un matrimonio no es esto.

To me, this is not a marriage
