The responses from SpanishDict when doing the exercises (flashcards, recall, etc.) are very slow.

Question

The responses from SpanishDict when doing the exercises (flashcards, recall, etc.) are very slow....while it indicates that the next question will appear in 3 seconds, it actually takes 10-20.....I just sit and wait for the next item to appear. My connection to the internet is superfast, and everything else is working just great.

This has been going on for several days now......What is the problem?

Are the responses being interrupted by all the ads popping up all the time....???

I've had your problem, but less extreme. One day, my flashcards took 5-10 seconds each, surprisingly long. I came back a week later and it was fine. I never had it again. It could be your computer, and in my case mine. Have you cleaned cookies, cache, and history? Have you rebooted your computer? That might help. My main SpanishDict problem is that my answers while I am typing them randomly delete themselves. I've learned to deal; I've written it off as one small problem. Sites aren't perfect. Hopefully one of the Administrators can help fix our problems... Good luck, SophieL!

Following Valiente's advice, I clicked on: Tools>Internet Options>Delete internet files, cookies, history, etc. I hadn't cleaned out cookies for quite a while, so it really needed to be done. It only took a few minutes, but it's working much faster now.

I already have a pop-up blocker, so wondering now, do I still need an ad-blocker?

Hi sophy, for the ads, install an ad-block, for the flashcards, they appear every 3 seconds.
