Buen libro para mejorar su español

Question

Estoy leyendo "La Telaraña de Carlota" y lo encuentro perfecto para un estduante de español al nivel de intermedio inicial.

Aquí hay un párrafo fácil:

Fern quería a Wilbur más que a nada en el mundo. Le gustaba acariciarlo, alimentarlo y dormirlo. Cada mañana, en cuanto se levantaba, calentaba la leche, ajustabe el chupete y sostenía el biberón para que bebiera. Cada tarde, en cuanto el autubús se detenía frente a su casa, saltaba a la carretera y corría a la cocina para prepararle otro biberón. Volvía a darle leche a la hora de cenar, y de nuevo antes de irse a la cama. La señora Arable se encarbaga de darle un biberón a mediodía, cuando Fern estaba en la escuela. A Wilbur le gustaba la leche y jamás se sentía tan bien como cuando Fern de la calentaba. Permanecía alzado sobre sus patas, mirándola con ojos de adoración.

That one was pretty easy. I only had to look up

• acariciar - to caress
• alzado - fixed (in place)

When it talks about his meals, I have to look up tons of words. Peels, shells, crumbs, raisins, crusts, radishes...

Plus there are many animals and activities on the farm, so lots of new farm items and verbs for me.

I am learning a lot of useful vocabulary and the story is very sweet. I think I read it in English in third grade, when I was eight years old. I bought the Spanish version from amazon.com

Does anyone have other suggestions of interesting but easy books?

I think reading the newspaper in Spanish is always the best. Try www.elpais.com.

Hay muchos libros en la biblioteca. Cuando yo empecé, Leí libros como los escrito por Lemony Snickets (una serie de eventos desafortunados) o Niel Gaiman el libro del cementerio. Estos libros han sido escritos por niños avansados y aún más fácil es la serie la casa del árbol. Otro idea, lea National Geographic en Español yo tengo subscriptiónes en Inglés y Español y asi puedo mirar de una al otra cuando no entiendo algo. Que usd. tenga buena suerte.
