This is a disturbing post about animals in need. Please read if you want to help.

Question

I breed some animals but most of the animals I have are rescues.As I write this there are animals dying at what was supposed to be an animal sanctuary in Montana, USA. All species of animals were taken in there. I am not sure what happened but funding was lost and it was clear the animals were severely neglected long before that.Many horses, donkeys, camels, llamas and anything needing regular foot trimming are unable to walk because of neglect.Most are starving and dropping dead.The people on site believe many bodies will be found when the snows melt.

All the animals need help but I have been paying attention to the stories about the llamas.There are too many there to count, last estimate was 600.That is 600 llamas and there are other animals there as well. People in the Camelid Community are trying to get funding to move the animals out where the proper care and placement can start.The experienced rescuers say they have never seen suffering on this magnitude.

I dont have the balls to read this. Nothing makes me as sad as an animal in need. I cant stomach it. People, can at least understand things. Animals cant. They are innocent and those who maltreat them deserve sentences as bad as for the same crime done on a human.

This is a heart wrenching situation. Hopefully, kind and caring individuals will see the immediate need for action. I would also like to see the government agencies that are in charge of animal welfare do their part to reverse this situation. The public outcry in that area needs to be loud enough for them to take notice.
