I'm not sure about names to choose but there are some I'd avoid. I don't see Francisco Franco or Ignacio de Loyola hitting the big time. I would also avoid Tomás de Torquemada, even in jest.

I would go with José as I gather that it is an extremely popular name in Spain, and also because there was once a king named José.
