Hola Saraheck94 and Welcome to the SpanishDict forum smile

The underlying problem might be that you are not familiar with the rules governing the formation of basic commands in Spanish. The link below will guide you to a concise reference article that deals with this topic and should help you transform yourself into that mandona you have always wanted to be. Just think, all you have do is read the article, and in no time flat you'll be ordering people around and telling them what to do (and what not to do) with the best of them.

Negative Informal Commands

If you are unsure what verb to use (although this is doubtful given your choices) then try looking up the word "put" in the dictionary to find a suitable translation. From there it is a simple enough matter to type in the appropriate Spanish verb into the translator or conjugation tool (located under the MORE tab at the top of the page), and either of these will show you the various conjugations of the verb in question from which you, now armed with your better understanding of informal commands, should be able to confidently choose.

While you are familiarizing yourself with our site, it might not be a bad idea to also have a look at the rules and guidelines for posting on the forum: Forum Guidelines. These will let you know exactly what is and what isn't considered an appropriate (in regards to formatting and content) question to post here.

You might also have a look at our reference section which might be beneficial to you in regards to numerous and varied grammar topics

Thanks and hope to see you around the forum more often.

This is interesting. If you are having a casual conversation, lets say with your sun, or someone you are very familiar with, you say "No pongas ese plato en la mesa". But if you are writting a communication, end lets say this sign/letter will be hang in the cafeteria of the company you work for, then you need to saounf more fromal, and you say "No poner ese plato en la mesa". You use "no pongas", no tires", "no ensucies", etc, when you are commanding in a informal way, and you use "No poner", "no tirar", "no ensuciar", when you are making an announcement for someone or somebody to follw your instruction. Hope it helps.
