Are you sure it wasn't Mandala? a meditation or spiritual aid used in some religions, that would fit with the other references to rosaries etc.

I looked up the song lyrics and it is mandas. According to the SD dictionary it can mean legacy left in a will. I don't know if that was the writer's intent. Maybe an offering of some kind.

a manda is like a promise you do, for a "favor" that you receive from a saint, for exemple you promise go on your knees to the church if one of your family get well from a disease.... that's a kind of manda
