Is it, "Después se pone un vaso de agua de la cocina, Cándido vuelve a su habitación."?

I am wondering because I used the translator tool, and it uses "se pone" in the sentence. Doesn't that mean "he/she put"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks/Gracias,

Erin

Hi! I would say.....

"después de sacar un vaso de agua de la cocina, Cándido vuelve a su cuarto"

(Exact same as above, just differemt word for take out/room) In some Spanish speaking countries "coger" can be very very vulgar, so be careful.

se pone is a reflexive verb meaning to put oneself. Also, it's in the present tense conjugated form, but verbs don't conjugate after prepositions like "despues de".
