It's more like "Here you have it", and yes, speaking informally you could say "aquí tienes".

That's interesting...I've never heard a direct translation for that expression.
In Spain it's "ten" or "tenga" and in Mexico it's "toma" or "tome". I can't remember which it is in Venezuela; maybe KevinB remembers.

in Spain we would say: toma, ten...tenga, tome
Aquí tienes is also correct in informal speech.

I agree with Heidi and Jack.
Say, for example, someone asks for your passport. You would respond with ....
"Aquí lo tiene (tienes)" (Here you have it/Here it is)
