I don't get haz there, is looks like it says "You have registered" and I think of haz as the imperative tu form of hacer. Hazlo ahora! That sort of thing. Gracias.¡

Hola:

Has registrado = You have registered. Maybe it is a misspelling on their part.

has (haber) - to have/to be. haz (hacer) - to do/to make.

That's gotta be it then, what a strange blazing error for a professional site to make? Isn't it? It's a very nice looking site full of people and everything. - jeezzle, Nov 8, 2010
Hola: It is a common mistake, maybe they meant "haz" from "having done... Ni idea :) - LuisaGomezBartle, Nov 8, 2010
Yes, it's particularly common where the regional accent does not distinguish between s and z (by pronouncing z as 'th'). - MacFadden, Nov 8, 2010

Hi there.

It's only a misspelling, as said by the first answer.

The reason is that in some countries (mainly latin-american) and some regions of Spain (Canary islands, for example), the letters "s" and "z" have the same local pronuntiation in this context ("phonems"), and that is why are mistaken lots of people writting incorrectly those words that sounds simmilar.

Anyways, in this case the correct text should have been "has registrado", meanning "You have registered".

Could it just be short for 'haz click'?

As explained above, it is a spelling mistake.

Hola: It is a common mistake, maybe they meant "haz" from "having done... Ni idea smile

A mistake like that is unheard of in the "no seseante" regions of Spain, where S and Z sound radically different. This is the advantage of the variety of Spanish spoken is most parts of Spain, and the one I'd recommend for beginners. Replace all your Z with S takes a minute for anyone to get used to, but to learn how to spell thousands of words right takes a long time.
