Nothing is better than Saturday night with the guys . wink cool smile

  • I'd use "un sábado", "el sábado" doesn't sound wrong, but I'd rather use "un" - Tonyriva Oct 25, 2010 flag

Dad, I lost the diaper money!

  • it's "papá"... and I'd say "de los pañales" if you meant "the money for the diapers" or "el dinero que traía en el pañal", if you meant "the money I was carrying on my diaper" - Tonyriva Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • I want to say "diaper money" in the say way one would say "rent money" - Brynleigh Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • yep... it should be "de los pañales"... it's not that "del pañal" it's wrong, I think it has to do with the fact that you don't usually buy 1 diaper - Tonyriva Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • Gracias, Tony:) - Brynleigh Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • By the way, I suppose it was just a typo, but if you put a comma after 'Papá', you don't have to capitalize 'He'. - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag

Oh, my goodness! What is happening here? This is a tea party, not an Octoberfest!!

  • jajajaja... that's really funny - Tonyriva Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • Gracias,Tonyriva! - sanlee Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • jejeje... Good one Sandy!!! - Vaanz Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • Thanks, Vaanz - sanlee Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • "Oktoberfest". And even though what you wrote is fine, it sounds more idiomatic to skip the second "es": "de té, no una Oktoberfest!" - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag

A young George Thorogood: I want one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer.

  • "George Thorogood de joven: ". In Spanish this sounds as "G.T. as a young man: " - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag

It's a shame so many people raise their kids like this.

  • a sus niños - Tonyriva Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • "críe a sus niños" is fine too, although it's more common to say "críe a sus hijos" - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag

With so much abuse that there is against children and with so much imbecility that there is among the adults of modern society, I hope this photo is only "photoshop" and not authentic.

Also, "ojalá" is not commonly seen except as the very first word in a sentence. I'd probably say ".. moderna, espero que .." instead. - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag

Hey, while you're getting my beer, get me some more cigars too!

Cigar=puro , Cigarrette = cigarro, cigarrillo - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag
  • .. and I just realized "coger" is a poor choice of a verb outside Spain. You would probably say "recoger" or something :) - bill1111 Oct 25, 2010 flag

By any chance would you have a cup of brandy, instaed of the beer, to accompany my cigar?¿
