Bendecimos = behn-deth/des-ee-mos
alabamos = ah-lah-bah-mos
adoramos = ah-door-ah-mos
glorificamos = glohr-eef-eek-ah-mos
Put the 'stress' on the second to last vowel (usually) unless there is an accented vowel, i.e. á é í ó ú
- That is NOT what I called exact pronunciation. My wife, whose first language is not Spanish, has a perfect pronunciation both in Spanish and English. - lazarus1907 Oct 23, 2010 flag
- The first time she read this kind of "ah-lah-bah-mos" in English, she started laughing. She said: "I did not realize this was meant to sound like Spanish. It doesn't". Keep reading those things, and you'll always sound crap. - lazarus1907 Oct 23, 2010 flag
- There are only 3 letters between Spanish and English that have the same sound. All other letters and sounds are either similar, or completely different. - lazarus1907 Oct 23, 2010 flag

Try the Acapela Group website, Valerie. Lazarus1907 pointed out this site for us and has suggested that we listen to Antonio for the Spanish pronunciation. Be sure to spell your words correctly!!
- Although it is not 100% perfect, the sounds are recorded from natives, so it tends to sound pretty convincing. In any case, much better than those "ah-lah-bah-mos" pseudo-transcriptions. - lazarus1907 Oct 23, 2010 flag

Thanks for these replies - this helps me a lot! I am a composer of choral music, and I just want to make sure I am putting the accented syllables in the right places in the music.
