¿cómo se dice "persuaded by flattery" ?

For context, here is the full sentence... "Patronio aconseja a Lucanor que se conozca a si mismo y sus propias meritos, y que no sea persuadido por halagos"

i want to say "Patronio advises Lucanor to know himself and his own merits, and not to be persuaded by flattery."

please help... I have been pretty stuck on this for a while.

... y que no se deje persuadir por los halagos.
