In English a latin phrase N.B. (nota bene) is used to draw attention to an additional piece of text or information.

Is this used in Spanish or is there an equivalent?

Many Thanks Shaun

In Spanish we use the same Latin expression with the exact same acronym (well, with a space after the first dot)

nota bene. (N. B.)

(Loc. lat.; literalmente, 'observa bien').

  1. expr. U., especialmente en impresos o manuscritos, para llamar la atención hacia alguna particularidad.

In modern Spanish it would be "Nota bien", but no one would write that.

In Spain "ojo" is also used in informal situations. it also has the advantage of looking like two eyes and a nose...
