ASK A QUESTION how do I roll my r's for the first time

Just put your tough near top of your mouth and breathe out. Your tough will flap around. It's easy. Putting that flapping into a word is tricky and after two years of trying to learn Spanish it still requires conscientious effort for me. It is probably important to learn this. Consider, “un carro caro” . How would that make sense without rolling the “rr”? There is the question of how many tough flaps are required. I believe three flaps are sufficient. Maybe someone else can clarify this. I’d like to know myself.
First of all, forget the English R altogether. The two sounds are not related at all. Then use the cat purr or the motorboat approach, which involves lightly touching the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth and gently blowing out.
Can you make a sound like a cats purr? It's very similar when yout ry to roll your R's, just add the rrrrr sound to it! It can take time to learn, just keep practicing
¡Buenos suerte!
Hola
My mother taught me how to roll my r's when I was a child. She told me to pretend I was gargling, then move it forward. It worked. I think this may have been how her high school French teacher taught her to roll the french r. It works for Spanish too.
And if that doesn't work try this.
Hola, mego:
I am glad you asked this question. I have been trying for quite some time to rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroll my r's. I have had little success but I have tried again and I am getting a bit better. Perhaps some people can do it easily but I think for a lot of people it comes with consistent practice. Just keep trying and you will master it.
Hope to see you around the site.
