In the question below, I know that "pusiste" stands for you put, but what word represents "did" or is the "did" not needed in the spanish translation?

• ¿Pusiste mis píladores en la mesita o en el botiquín? - Did you put my pills on the nightstand or in the medicine cabinet?

Welcome to the forum, Lynn, this question has come up before and you are right to ask as this is tricky.

In Spanish we do not use this auxiliary to form questions , neither do nor did are used, nor are will, would...etc.

Verb forms include automatically the tense, you have to look on our conjugation chart to get it rightwink

Pusiste = you put (past simple) / Did you put?
