ASK A QUESTION Posting Guidelines above Questions/Answers
Upon opening a member's question and reading through the answers I came upon an answer which, while it did not answer the original question, I felt it addressed a concern of my own. (I feel nervous just posting this!) Here is the [link text][1] to TheMatronofBooks' answer. (Hope you don't mind TheMatronofBooks!)
Maybe an idea is to post the guidelines at the top of the page, especially for new people who are not familiar with everything on this site. I have been on this site for almost a year and am still figuring things out sometimes. I imagine the situation as being the new student in a class where the many of the other students know the routine and have been there a while.
Often I think a private message would often be more appropriate instead of posting and possibly embarrassing someone in front of the community. I often am nervous to post anything or start a new game as I have been "shot down" before.
Does anyone have any other suggestions to help newer members and even refresh older members as to the rules on the forum? I realize they are posted but unless you look for them, they are not so obvious.

New members are usually greeted with courtesy and a welcome to the forum. This did not happen at first. It seemed that some people thought this person had been here before and had been a bother. I don't think we can assume that even if a person joined a long time ago and is just coming back in. I always welcome a new person and try to figure out their question. I do believe that this is a rare occurrence. At least I hope so. And you can see that she was welcomed warmly afterwards. I do hope she will come back.
Hi yoga, the guidelines ARE actually displayed at the top of the page![]()
Matron has a point and so has latetodinner. Often people take the newbie's side and are very concerned with how they are treated here. (both answers were deleted, if you see a problem in a thread, please contact the admins but do not take the administration in your hands!)
I think this is the friendliest forum you can find on the web, unless you can prove me wrong, yoga or matron, we are always open to suggestions.
In any case, if you have any complaints, suggestions or concerns, please contact us, this can only be dealt with by admins.
Thanks.
