Hi, Roz.

Don't be confused -- just realize that different people answer the phone differently. This happens in English, Spanish, and many other languages.

Some people say "Diga" or "Digame" (Speak to me / Tell me)

Others say "Bueno" (Short for Buenos días)

I say "Hola" (Hello)

I have even heard the simple "¿Si?" (Yes?)

Hola! means hello in spanish

Estoy bien mean= I'm fine in spanish.

I never heard nobody say only " bueno" to answer the telephone unless they said Buenas Dias= and that means= good morning.

bueno, means= good, or very well in spanish
