Barranca is a gulley or a ravine. a large ravine could be a canyon. i would say that casa de la barranca is correct. casa barranca, could be a house owned by a family called barranca'

well if Barranca is the house name in spanish will be Casa Barranca but if Casa de la Barranca is the whole name in spanish will be CASA DE LA BARRANCA.....
