In this sentence: (as a conjunction)

Red ve que muchos de los recetarios en el bosque son robados (SO) ella va a la montaña para dar el recetario de su familia a su abuela.

Red sees that many of the recipe books in the woods are stolen (SO) she goes to the mountain to give her family's recipe book to her grandma.

por lo tanto=therefore

por eso = for that reason

are possibilities in this sentence.

Entonces would be a good word there.

Just looking in the dictionary for a quick glance I see also for "so" the words "tan" (to such a degree), so difficult that... "tan difícil que...", don't be so stupid "¡no seas bobo!", I wish he wouldn't talk so much "ojalá no hablara tanto", it's about so hgh "es así de alto" (by the way "así" is a common word for "so"). Hope this helps!! smile
