Where is Esther ? It is pronounced Ester, Trying hard to get the feel of Spanish and memorize verbs etc, I had the habit of walking around voicing words and phrases aloud, my favorite being ,dondé está Esther?¡ Esther no está aqui? Now I have , or had a girl friend named Esther and apparently she had become tired of it , telling me that since I had started with Spanishdict I had become raving mad ,she actually used a stronger term and dumped me. Are there any "Spanishaddictafiles" who use my method to better, or similar effect ? Oh , if you happen to meet Esther do not mention Ray she may tell you == donde debo estar! In case I am not there already. wink grin

Yes! I do that while driving. I describe what I see and talk about my day. Many times I don't have the exact vocabulary to express what I want to say in Spanish, so I make a list of what I need to learn.

One of my favorite words to say has become "desafortunadamente" because it just rolls off the tongue. tongue rolleye

I talk to my dog, too. She's a chihuahua and very patient.

  • I fear that may now roll off my tongue ,Ah well here goes another girl friend. - ray76 May 12, 2010 flag
