At school, I was taught that "qué" is used to mark a question and "que" is used in almost any other sentence. Reading on this forum, however, I see people using "que" in sentences other than questions. Could someone please explain to me when I should use "qué" instead of "que"?

Well, you can also use qué to say things like "How Marvelous!" (¡Qué Maravillosa!) I hope this clears things up! grin

An accent mark is required when Que is in a question. This is true with other words as well, such as Como, Cual, etc.
