I'm looking at a real estate company's website in Bogota, Colombia. They're asking about zones of the city. These were some of the zones, but I don't know how to find out what they mean. I'm looking for housing cost outside of the city.

I agree with the answers given above. They are place names, like saying "fairview", presumably a place where the view is fair, but who thinks about that?

I don't know the meaning of Guaymara or Guaymaral, but in some places "Chapín" is either a type of fish or a type of boat.

So "Chapinero" could be a place where the fish Chapín used to be abundant, for example, much in the same way that a place could be called "Snapper Lane" or "Octopus Alley".

I can only suppose that they are proper names. Therefore only a Colombian will be able to give the correct meaning.

If I'm not wrong guaymaral consists of 2 parts. The first one guay means brilliant/ terrific
