This word alone is an expression meaning "beat it, get lost" but I would like to know what the actual Spanish word means.

I had never heard this phrase before, but it seems the infinitive form is "descontar," which I looked up in the dictionary here. Take a look. I guess "diminish yourself" would express the same idea as "beat it" or "get lost."
