Around these parts, the expression "la otra semana" means "next week" as in "Voy a visitarlo la otra semana" (I'm going to visit him next week). Is that a regional expression, or is it consistent around the world?

Of course we also use "la próxima semana" and "la semana que viene".

"La otra semana", "la próxima semana" and "la semana que viene" are equivalent in Mexico.

Exactly the same in Chile (like Mexico)...

I have been taught that next week is "la semana que viene". I also think la semana próxima is current. But then again I learnt castillian Spanish.

Para mí ha sido "la semana próxima".
