Hi Rose and welcome to the forum,

Here is the dictionary entry for the word "donut":donut. To make it plural, add "es".

los dónutes

No, when is a foreign word in most of cases you keep the plural.

It would be "donuts" just like English.

You can also traslate the word and to say "rosquilla" or plural "rosquillas".

  • I wholeheartedly agree with this answer. I have never heard "dónutes", sounds extremely weird to me, and I'd never use it. Where I hail from, we say "donas". - Gekkosan Mar 19, 2010 flag

In Mexico we call them 'Donas', which I'm pretty sure came from 'donuts' rolleyes Who knows! 'Rosquillas' is their "correct" name, if you call them that way in Mexico you'd be understood, however 'dona' is more common here wink.

¡Mis favoritas son las donas rellenas de lechecilla! Nom nom nom!!

  • what is lechecilla? is that liver? - 000031b1 Mar 20, 2010 flag
