In several instances, I have composed a response to someone's question from the Mozilla Firefox Web browser version 3.6. But the answer was never posted. I then had to reenter my post via another browser such as Internet Explorer 8.

Any ideas?

By the way, even this entry was first typed into the Firefox browser....but I copied the text to the clipboard, "just in case" :--)

........and.....indeed. My question went off into never-neverland - or as one used to say in the computer industry, the "bit bucket". The system gave me no indication that there had been any error. To the contrary, it returned "Done".

Nice note Janice. I have similar problems sporadically. Typically, clearing the browser cache seems to fix the problems (whatever they may be). But this isn't really a fix or a work around per se.

Ah...sporadically...:-( Indeed! After posting this problem yesterday, I saw a few "answers [sic]" get posted! and figured my problem must somehow have been resolved. Thus I didn't take the precaution just now of copying a post to the clipboard on the chance that "Done" might again mean "Gone".

hmm...I wonder if that long post I just struggled with might be found in that cache I should have first cleared somewhere. But if so, however would I get it back out?

Thank you, jerma, I think I might download and try the Opera browser. What do you use?

No he tenido problemas con Firefox 3.6. Puse esta respuesta con Firefox. Así, se puede hacer. Lo siento que este no resuelve su problema.

I just lost a "comment" entry from the Firefox browser. Disappointed, I think I cannot use 3.6 anymore.

In any case, I had already begun to take jeezle's advice and have downloaded Opera. The interface is indeed very fast!

Using Firefox 3.6, no problems posting responses.

HI Janice, actually, we use firefox to test the site, so that should be the best browser to use. I also use crome, works fine, very fast. Explorer does give a lot of problems.

Thank those of you, too, who have written that you are not having problems with Firefox. I like its interface and otherwise will continue to use it. But not here at Span¡shD!ct.com - not until I can figure out how to report and then determine why I lose posts...and fix the problem! I will use Opera...and perhaps have a look at Chrome.

This afternoon I entered a comment to another entrant's post and also composed a rather long response to someone who had helped me. I failed to notice I was still in Firefox - the colors are similar at the top of the screen to this Opera - reds...And I lost both.

I suppose there is a simpler remedy: I should write shorter entries smile smile
