Como se dice "later" as in do it later. Is it Luega? Also we are doing telling time in class, ¿would you use es la uno de la tardes O viente uno en punto?

  • Congratulations on a really great title for yoiur thread. I suspect that there are many people who will wish to do a search on "2 questions". - samdie Feb 11, 2010 flag
  • Is it really so difficult to create a thread title that actually gives an indication of the subject matter? - samdie Feb 11, 2010 flag
  • Yikes, pretty harsh there amigo. I'm still just getting the hang of how things work here. So chill**** - nwduke Feb 21, 2010 flag

Later could be "luego" (as in "hasta luego") or it could be "más tarde". It depends a little on the context.

It is one o'clock in the afternoon would be "es la una de la tarde" or simply "es la una".

You can add "en punto" to a time to indicate "sharp". "Es la una de la tarde en punto."

Luego

Es la una de la tarde.

vienteuno would be 9PM. Veintiún horas.

  • Oops I meant las tres mil, does spanish use the 24 hour format - nwduke Feb 11, 2010 flag
  • Tres mil is 3000. The clock only goes to 2400 hrs, we say just "Veinticuatro horas." Both 12 hr / 24 hr clocks are used. - JulianChivi Feb 11, 2010 flag
