I was looking for an article in a Spanish newspaper for class when I ran across a section entitled "toros." I was confused, because I thought it meant "bulls," and it turns out that it does. But why is there a section in the newspaper entitled bulls? And why does it seem only vaguely related to bullfighting, as I first expected? I am posting a link HERE for those interested in going to this site.

It is all about bull fighting which makes me sick. The poor bull gets killed for no reason, other than for humans pleasure which is wrong. I could understand if they were going to send the meat for poor people to eat, but just for fun! I can not understand that at all and I don't want too. hmmm

I agree. It makes me sick to think of the people cheering and shouting like barabarians.. just because they WANT this beautiful animal to suffer. The bull did NOTHING to deserve this pain nor does he know why it is happening. It's murder, it's perverse and it's a stain on the reputation of an otherwise beautiful country.

HI Cameron, yes, bullfighting still exists in Spain, and it does in some hispanic countries too, Juluque.

Bullfighting is a big thing at a certain moment of the year, like for example in October in Madrid, La Feria de Otoño.

  • so? Sitll think is brutal and awful. - juluque Feb 7, 2010 flag
