"still waters run deep"

Hay un expresión en ingles, "still waters run deep" lo que significa: Una persona con una apariencia tranquila que tiene, o puede tener, emoción, carácter o intelecto interna considerable. ¿Puede ser traducido directamente en español o hay una expresión similar que significa la misma cosa?

There is an expression in english "still waters run deep" that means: a person with a calm appearance has, or may have, considerable inner emotion, character, or intellect. Can this be translated directly into Spanish or is there an expression that means the same thing?

If no help, I'd try Merriam Webster's dictionary site. I've typed in a few words and it'll translate to Spanish. I don't think diabolical or canny are it.

Although it´s not the same, in Spanish, when a person is enduring a situation or going through some difficult or strongly emotional experience but does not show any sign of it in his manners or behaviour, it is said that la procesión va por dentro, meaning that even though you can´t see it there´s a great commotion going on.

Example: - Osvaldo no estaba muy triste por la muerte de su padre.

- El no es muy demostrativo, pero la procesión va por dentro.
