I have just started dating a man who's primary language is Spanish. He likes to tease me and speak in spanish to me because he knows I dont know very much. I can pick up on a lot of what he is saying, but not much. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of some terms of endearment I could say to him besides calling him papi and papi chulo. lol thanks!

Well, I guess you could say something like...

Oyé papi, ¿porqué me embromas?

  • Hey papi, why you tease me? (But being playful)

I don't know if this would work in your situation or not, but I know in Columbia you could call someone "bizcocho." It translates as "cake," but its use would be like saying that someone is cute or desirable. Give it a try. What's the worst that could happen?
