What does this phrase mean?

"La tele se mete en la cocina"

HI , the TV goes into the kitchen.

Put the TV into the kitchen.

It is an article about cooking programmes on television. So I think it is a play on words.

It could be something like "The TV moves into in the kitchen", or even "The TV butts its way into the kitchen.".

"Se mete" is a very versatile verb, so without a few of the surrounding sentences, its very hard to give a definitive translation.

Or even, "the TV intrudes in the kitchen" for those who are somewhat anti-boobtube.
