Which is more commonly used: Quiero verte hoy 'or' Te quiero ver hoy?

Él viene a visitarnos. - vs.- Él nos viene a visitar. (He's coming to visit us,)

Voy a comprarlos. - vs.- Los voy a comprar. (I'm going to buy them.)

Elena va a llamarme. - vs. - Elena me va a llamar. (Elena is giong to call me.)

I know it's important to be familiar with both ways, but which of the two ways is the Direct Object Pronoun more commonly used in "everyday" talk?

I guess this will depend on what country you are. In Argentina, the second options are more common, but both are used and sound natural.

Hello dee914,. I have no available stats, but there is not significant difference in which one is the most used. Sometimes you can choose one or the other depending on emphasis or clarity.

Now, what is more commonly used in everyday language is the wrong way to displace the pronoun when you have two (or three) verbs in a sentence, attaching the pronoun to the non-corresponding verb.

For example:

I´d like to see you again = Me gustaría volverte a ver (wrong)
Me gustarìa volver a verte (right)

I have been trying to figure out why this happens for a while, collecting examples (some of them are very funny but I haven´t got them at hand) but it´s still a work in progress.

Last but not least, thanks to Juanes you can now listen the Wrong use of the enclitic displacement in Spanish.
