Traumatized for life, little Billy never did understand why Santa Clause never brought him the hammock he had asked for.

Traumatizado de por vida, el pequeño Billy nunca entendió por qué nunca le trajo Santa Claus la hamaca que había pedido.

The original version using the English saying "scarred for life" is a well known saying that means to be "traumatized for life" . A scar is, literally a mark left on the skin after it heals from an injury. I made the mistake of a using the word for word substitution, marcado, a mark, for the word scar, a mark to communicate the idea of being traumatized. This was a poor choice of words. It does not really translate from English to Spanish with the same meaning. I hope this revised version reads better and conveys the originally intended message that poor little Billy was traumatized for the rest of his life because jolly old Santa Clause got just a little too jolly and crashed out on the hammock he was supposed to give Billy for Christmas. Poor little Billy
