Both are interchangeable. "Feretro" is more likely to be used when it's an expensive coffin but they are synonyms.

Just wondering this too, recently... call me morbid.
Both words should be accented, by the way... but here's my real question (buried in this comment!) =
How do they say pallbearer in other parts of the Spanish-speaking world? Thanks in advance....
