It's been suggested that those trying to learn spanish (or any language) utilize movies, news, and videos to overcome the problem of not understanding the language when spoken, especially after studying so hard, for so long. The problem is that when we study, we learn each word letter by letter and pronounce them syllable by syllable. When we hear spanish spoken, the speaker, generally, is not speaking distinctly. Understood. Please offer suggestions on spanish programs, that will allow me to hear spoken spanish. I will be back to add to the list, myself.

There is this show called extr@ spanish. In arizona on channel 99 we get it for free. If you don't live in arizona you can buy the dvds online. I love this show, because I hardly know any spanish and I can totally understand what's going on. It's a sitcom, and once you get into it and understand more of what their saying it can be very funny. They also have an american character in it who occasionally talks english and speaks in an american accent (he is the easiest to understand) You should look into it. If you do live in az it's on weekdays at 7:30

I tried watching lingutv and it was pretty stupid...no offence of course.
