You use the verb tener in Spanish which literally translates to have. If you want to say, " She is 21." It would be "Ella tiene 21 años." If you want to say "I am 21 years old" it would be "Tengo 21 años de edad".

Thanks for the reply Sally. I didn't realise how complicated it would be. How would you say "She will be 21 years old'"

You would say "Ella cumplirá 21 años" In this case you use the verb cumplir. You could also say, " Ella tendrá 21 años". Both are used. Happy Birthday is Feliz Cumpleaños.
