"I bought myself a new jacket and these gloves are for my sister" is less ambiguous.

Sí, mi hermana siempre tiene frío. ¿Qué te parece?

¿Cómo te los parecen? (Are you inquiring about your sister, her always being cold, or the gloves?)

Yo creo que es bueno.

Again, Aare we discussing your sister (es buena), her always being cold (es un poco rara), or the gloves? (son buenos)?

I think the indicative mood is correct here as you are expressing an opinion and doubt isn't expressed.

Nuevo before the noun means: new as in different or another.

Nuevo after the noun means: new (brand)

I think it should be "el fin de semana pasada" because "pasado" is describing last WEEK's end, not last END of the week.
