Literalmente en Ingles -- To take w/o need or conscious form a medicine. I must be missing something.

To take a medicine, knowing/being aware that it is not really needed.

  • Así es. ¡Gracias Mokay! :-) - chaparrito Dec 3, 2009 flag

Hi Alonso! The word forma can also mean 'way or manner'. So the expression could also mean "Taking medicine without needing it and without thinking about it."

I hope that helps! smile

¡Hola!, Alonso:

Our dictionary and a Google search suggests that ''de consciente" means "aware of"' or "conscious of"'and "de forma consciente" means "consciously" or "conscious form".
I think Chaparrito is right and the sentence means "To take medecine without needing it and without knowing."
Recuerdos Regards

Moe

  • "sin saber" means not knowing, and the sentence says being aware, so "Tomar medicina sin necesitarlo y sabiendo (que no se necesita)". No double "sin". - Mokay Dec 3, 2009 flag

I'm sorry Chaparrito, but "en forma consciente" means that you are aware of it. It could never mean the opposite. "En forma inconsciente " has the meaning you are saying.
