Pido disculpas a todos los estudiantes de español aquí, pero la palabra del día está resfriada, tiene fiebre y tos, estornuda mucho y por eso no está en forma.

I apologize to all the students of Spanish here, but the word of the day has a cold, is feverish, is coughing and sneezing a lot, and because of this is out of shape.

No tienes que inventar excusas, una sincera disculpa sería suficiente. Quise decir: "You don't have to make excuses, a sincere apology would suffice." =)

Pido disculpas, "lo siento parece ser la palabra más difícil", pero es dos palabras.

I'm sorry. 'sorry seems to be the hardest word' but it is two words (in Spanish).

Estuve tan equivocado que no quedaba otro remedio sino deshacerme en disculpas.

I was so wrong, there was nothing to do but apologize profusely.

Side note: I know that 'deshacerse en disculpas' means 'apologize profusely', however I'm not sure if my example should use 'deshacerme' or 'deshacerse'. Suggestions?
