what does califa mean?

a guy i like has called me califa several times what does it mean? exp. hey, califa adonde vas? he knows i'm from california and he's mexican ans i'm half mexican and we're in texas

Well, where were you called this? Califa is "caliph" in English which is successor. So maybe he was being sarcastic? "Hey high and mighty, were are you going?" I don't know. haha

Well, if you're talking to someone in America that is a chicano, that's what they call California. Like this, "ey homez i'm from Califas". lol
