ASK A QUESTION Inés y Javier van pasear por la ciudad.
This is due by midnight online, and I think I have the right answers but the computer is telling me I'm wrong. We are doing present tense of ir verbs. What am I doing wrong?:
Don Francisco wants to make sure he knows about everything that is going on. Answer his questions in complete sentences using the words in parentheses. Follow the model.

Interesting that you mention that you are studying the present tense (of ir verbs) because the ir+a+infinitive perifrasis actually refers to a future action. You are correct that the verb ir is present tense, however.
....van por la ciudad .. ( *they are going to stroll through the city.) Actally this question is different from the others. It asks where they are going (around the city); not what are they going to do (walk around the city).
....van a correr... (they are going to run) las noches.
...van a ir... a las cuatro. ( they are going to go) [horas..at four o'clock..except for one o'clock times are always plural]
...va a escribir... (Maite is going to write)
...va a tomar... (Alex is going to sunbathe)
Thanks! That was a big help. Haha, yeah sorry you're right. It's not present tense. I'm just used to saying that because most of the verbs we have studied refer to the present tense.
HI cober, welcome to the forum![]()
Getting my vote too for the very nice attempt you posted. If you chose the correct category, people will see you are just looking for proofreading.
Remember the rule:
ir a + hacer algo
Voy a pasear.
Your sentences were very close but they missed the "a"
