How can I say that in Spanish?

My suggestion is:

Estamos abierto desde las cinco hasta las ocho.

But what confuses me is whether to use desde --> hasta or de --> a and also do I have to put "las" always in front of the time (except with one [la una])?

And one last thing, if I want to be more specific/correct, I should probably write:

Estamos abierto desde las cinco de la tarde hasta las ocho de la noche(/or tarde?)

So my other question is, is 8pm noche or tarde?

Thanks/Gracias

Estamos abierto desde las cinco hasta las ocho. --- This is correct

But what confuses me is whether to use desde --> hasta or de --> a and also do I have to put "las" always in front of the time (except with one [la una])?

You can say de-a but the right way is desde-hasta.

Las is plural, la is singular, all the numbers except for one(1) should be "las".

Estamos abierto desde las cinco de la tarde hasta las ocho de la noche --- That is your answer ---perfect.

  • Indeed, all the numbers should be las. They likely are, more so, when written. But I hear "a la ocho,' "a la diez" all the time in Mexico. Maybe I run with a less literate crowd? - 0057ed01 Nov 11, 2009 flag
