I'm just finishing Learn Spanish 1 and would like to review what I learnt before moving on to the next lesson. I don't want to re-watch all the videos or re-do all the flashcards as this would take too long. Is there exercices that I can do on this website? I can't seem to find the quizzes that she is talking about at the end of the videos.

Thank you.

  • Hey Nadia! I think you meant to use the word 'learned' instead of 'learnt'; and 'Are there exercises. Keep up the good work! ;-) - chaparrito Nov 9, 2009 flag
  • Chaparrito, we use "learned" in the U.S.A. but they use "learnt" in other counries. - --Mariana-- Nov 9, 2009 flag
  • I'm French Canadian so that makes sense. - EBGDAE Nov 9, 2009 flag
  • Another "strong" verb in English. Both "learnt" and "learned" are acceptable. "Learnt" will probably disappear, eventually, but, for the present, it's alive and well. - samdie Nov 9, 2009 flag

You have two options on this site. The first thing you can do is practice with additional flashcards. The second thing is to work in the Reference section. There are exercises at the end of each article.

I know it might seem like watching the videos or doing the flashcards takes a lot of time, but I highly recommend doing it. I believe Paralee also suggests doing this, taking as long as a week before moving on to the next lesson. As the lessons progress and increase in difficulty, you will see how important this is.

It may seem time consuming, but it is well worth the effort and the hours put into it. Also, spending time here in the forum will help sharpen your skills. There are plenty of people here who are willing to help you with any questions you might have. smile

maybe you can find the things that you are not sure of and make a set of flashcards yourself?

hope this helps. smile

In the reference section, there are several well-organized sets of flashcards. Here's the link if you're interested.

¿Can anyone tell me where the reference section is, also how do I get into it ?.

Hi macdidds! There is a link at the top of the page (under the 'Translate' box) that says MORE. Click or hover there and then you will see Reference. Click on that and you will be taken to the Reference Index page.

Have fun! raspberry

Go back and just do the recall part of the flashcards you did about a week ago. This will let you know how you are retaining the vocabulary.
